The mega drivers are major elements that affect trends and the zeitgeist. They are contextual key-elements that arise from trends and human action or are related to natural conditions. They are the major conditions, sometimes even social movements, that set the stage for cultural trend development.

How
This current map of mega drivers is a result of a semi-systematic review of open access information from observatories, trend agencies, companies, and other institutions – all listed above in the correspondent driver. We articulated similar, or related, results from each into a coherent categories of drivers.
After 2024 we will endeavor to add PEST analysis results to this type of semi-systematic review.
The visual representations in the model for each mega driver is a result from AI image processing, using prompts with associated keywords from each driver.
